Are you worried that you or someone you love might drink too much?

As part of a National Institute of Health funded study, we are developing an innovative program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services Statewide Advocacy for Veterans’ Empowerment (SAVE) for service members and veterans who think they may be drinking excessively.   Eligible military personnel can obtain a confidential evaluation of drinking and related problems, and enroll in a free outpatient treatment research program of 15 weekly sessions with their spouse/partner to learn coping skills for sobriety and family life.

We truly appreciate your service to our country. We are committed to work toward healing the unseen wounds of war.
